東方雷舞演 ~ Enigma of the Storm

東方雷舞演 (Eastern Lightning Dance Performance) ~ Enigma of the Storm is a short bullet hell game/script, made for the 4th Bullet Hell Artistry contest hosted by the Bullet Hell Engines Discord server (discord.gg/bhe).
The theme, titled "Unworldly Manifestations", requires participants to make a boss fight of their original character (or another person's, with explicit permission). For this game, the creator has used his original character.

Gensokyo has been ravaged by an endless, cruel thunderstorm. Lightning bolts strike down, one after another, burning down the beautiful nature of this land of fantasy.
Normally, a familiar shrine maiden and an equally familiar ordinary magician would set out to solve such an incident, as they have done for years.
However, this time, a young boy from the Outside World who can communicate with and control beasts takes up the role of incident-solver, setting out into the dark clouds...

This game is a crossover between Touhou Project and Boku no Hero Academia, by ZUN (Jun'ya Oota) and Kohei Horikoshi respectively. However, knowledge of these series is unnecessary to enjoy the game. (In fact, there are no Touhou characters shown in this game. The Touhou part lies in the setting.)

Enigma of the Storm offers a short, yet fast-paced and intense bullet-hell battle, enlivened with gentle, colorful artwork and an original boss theme. It's a bite-sized game that packs quite a punch, so both beginners and experienced bullet hell players can pick it up and enjoy it with little hassle. (If you're looking for something "Lunatic-mode" though, this one would be a bit too easy.)

It is highly recommended that players read the files in the game directory's Omake folder for background information on the characters, plot, and setting.
