an astronaut (is he human? that rock/potato-shaped head isn't doing any favours, but he is a tree-hugger and nature lover so he fits the look at least) goes on a solo mission to an abandoned greenhouse tower in outer space.
after a harsh fall, he finds a grappling gun an adventurer had left behind.
...or did the tower leave it for him?
whatever the case, he'll need it (and maybe anything else he comes across) to climb the tower and bring life back to it.

a bite-sized metroidvania game made for metroidvania month 20, and my first work in godot! also my first published non-stg! thank you nova for the late submission allowance. BLESS
the theme selected is "revival". maybe a bit of "cozy" since there's no enemies, just you, trees, and hundreds of spikes. revive withered trees to "save your progress", and make it to the great tree at the top to let it experience being loved and being remembered. after all... what is nature without eyes to enjoy its sights?
use your grappling hook to climb the tower and take in its greenery (but hopefully not the spikes). make a beeline for the top before the great tree withers fully, or explore at your own pace and find upgrades that'll help you in your journey.
controls should be explained in game, except one: use the "T" key to enable the in-game timer. good for speedruns!

THE LINUX & WEB BUILDS ARE EXPERIMENTAL AND MAY BE BUGGY. I do not have a machine to test Linux builds on nor do I have experience in debugging web games, sorry!
it's a very incomplete build at the moment. you may notice the window name has (DEBUG). because a legitimate export version crashes randomly when you enter doors I had to export a debug version instead. but this one is fully playable! woohoo to me!!
known issues and solutions:
- glitchy audio & sfx. just reset the game once or twice, should fix itself
- hook not working - usually happens if you spam the hook key in midair. stand on ground and shoot the hook a few times, should fix it quickly.
- game crashes randomly when going through doors - this shouldn't be happening since I exported a debug build, but just reset the game. if it happens on the web build, I'm afraid there's not much i can do (sorry!!!!)
