If you've played Touhou, all of these should be familiar to you.
Z: Hold to Fire/Confirm
X: Use Burst Attack (only when Gauge > 100%)/Cancel
Shift: Hold to Slow Movement/Focus
Esc: Pause when In-game
You can use the config.exe to rebind keys.
--- HOW TO PLAY ---
--- BASICS ---
This is a bullet hell score-attack game, with one stage, difficult enemies to evade and a difficult boss to fight at the end.
Load in your difficulty and player of choice, and try to make it to the end with the highest score you can manage!
Oh, and make sure to take a look at the Settings before you play.
--- SCORING ---
Destroy enemies normally to collect Blue Crystals, which increase your score, score multiplier, and Burst Gauge.
Get close to them for up to 4x the number of items.
When the Burst Gauge is at at least 100%, use the Burst Button (X Key) to activate a Burst Attack!
Burst Attacks cause destroyed enemies to drop Gold Crystals, which are worth double Blue Crystals.
High scores give you more extra lives - so do plan carefully!
(You can also graze to fill your Burst Gauge, but it's slow.)
--- RANK ---
Rank is the game's dynamic difficulty system.
To put it simply, regularly using Bursts and doing well (read: not getting hit) will increase the rank over time, making the game significantly harder.
Taking damage will decrease rank, helping you regain equal footing.
Each difficulty has a different rank limit/maximum and rank boost rate. Experiment with what you see fit.
--- BOSSES ---
When facing against a boss, the top of the playfield will show their name, the attack name, the score bonus, and time remaining.
Each boss attack has a score bonus - the bonus' initial value depends on your current Score Rate, and this decreases gradually over time, so you'll always want to shoot it down as fast as you can for the maximum bonus score.
Using Bursts during a boss attack reduces the bonus by 25%, and taking damage reduces it by half.
--- I KEEP DYING, HELP ---
+ Try increasing the Starting Lives in the Settings. You won't be able to save high scores, but you'll get to practice the stage better
without worrying about losing.
+ Take long, relaxing breaks.
+ Ask your friends for help.
